Erie has a diverse musical and cultural population and loves to showcase local talent. Throughout the summer months several free events are held every week for those interested in seeing live music. Some of those events include free concerts every Tuesday at the Pepsi Amphitheater located along the Erie Bayfront and free concerts every Wednesday on the beach on Presque Isle State Park and every Thursday in downtown. There are also a number of summer events that attract people from all over the country, which include Erie Summer Festival of the Arts and Celebrate Erie.

The Lake Erie region is home to several wineries. Most of the wineries in the region are located in Northeast, home to the Northeast, Sunset, Just Beachy, and Sunsational Cottages for those interested in wine trails, winery touring, horseback riding trails, and a quaint lake town. Most wineries are set up for visitors and offer tours. The area offers a wine festival every summer for visitors to taste wines from all local vineyards along with other summer festivals and events.
